This class is an overview of US Geography and History. The units of study include US government, economics, culture and society, and a history from the Early Native Americans up to the Industrial Revolution of the late 1800s to early 1900s. Students participate in classroom discussion about key topics, concepts and vocabulary, watch captioned videos, role-play historical events, and analyze visual media. They write to learn and write to demonstrate learning. Student performance is measured through daily formative assessments and end-of-unit summative assessments, as well as class projects and participation.
