This class is an overview of Kentucky Geography and History. The units of study include Kentucky government, economics, culture and society, and a history from the Early Native Americans up to the Kentucky Today. Students participate in classroom discussion about key topics, concepts and vocabulary, watch captioned videos, role-play historical events, and analyze visual media. They write to learn and write to demonstrate learning. Student performance is measured through daily formative assessments and end-of-unit summative assessments, as well as class projects and participation.
