My name is Millie Blandford. My husband, my dog Rocko, and I live in Springfield. I have two grown children and six grandchildren.
I obtained my teaching certificate in 1995 from Campbellsville University in 5-8 Education with emphases in science and ELA. I have a Masters in Education from Campbellsville University and a Rank I in Instructional Leadership from E.K.U. In 2008, I achieved my National Board Certification in science. I have three science resource books published by Incentive Publications and two science activities produced by ScienceKit & Boreal.
At the beginning of the 2017-18 school year, I started my 23rd year in education. The first 17 years of my career were spent teaching science (11 years at the middle school level and 6 at the high school level). I spent the next five years of my career serving as an administrator--4 years as an assistant principal and one year as principal. Both administrative roles were at the middle school level. I have spent the majority of my career teaching science to middle school students, and nothing excites me more than seeing the excitement science can bring to my students.
